Subaru Duathlon Series (ODS)
A full nine race series for those who like the land. This nine race series will have the best 9 races count towards crowning the series champions. All Olympic Distance Duathlons will be worth 150 points vs. 100 points for the Sprint Duathlons

NOTE: Athletes must race a minimum of 4 events in a certain series to win any overall prizes.

Try-A-Tri (not included in Series points)
An introduction to the world of triathlon.  4 short races for the new triathlete.

Elite Age Group Wave (excluding races where Ironman spots or Age Group money are awarded)
The Subaru Triathlon Series is once again pleased to announce the elite age group wave for triathletes.  For those of you who like to race hard and have the ability to stay with the elite racers - this is for you!  There is a catch, you have to qualify.  You must have raced in at least one Subaru Triathlon in the previous or present year and have placed well overall.  Athletes must still rack their bikes with their age group, not on the elite racks.  To register, you must do so at each individual event where we can verify your status.  See us at the problem table on the day of the event.

Tropicana Twister 1KM Fun Run
There will be 6 running events for people of any age.  These runs are to encourage a healthy lifestyle and are for fun only.  No awards or times will be given.  All pre-registered people will receive a race t-shirt and snacks.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated to local charities/groups.  These races will be held at Muskoka, Guelph 1, Niagara, Belwood Lake and Guelph Lake II and Niagara on the Lake
Note - registration times are the same as adult races

For information, email jeffandadele@rogers.com  or www.orilliakostri.ca

Relays
There will no longer be relay categories.  All relays will be treated equal and compete for gold, silver or bronze medallions.

Volunteers
Races are greatly voluntary based. If anyone coming to watch would like to volunteer, proceed to the blue volunteer tent or phone Trisport (905) 562-6670 and ask for Mitch. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, post race meal and a chance to win prizes. We are always looking for athletes to join the race committee of their local race.

Race age
Will be based on birth date as of December 31of this calander year for all athletes. This is to coincide with OAT (Ontario Association of Triathletes). What this means is that if you turn 35 before the 31st of Dec then you will race this summer as a 35 year old. Why? Because we are a Series of events and if someone has a birthday mid season and they race in a few races throughout the year then their age stays consistant for our Series Ending Award Winners.

Minimum Age for Child Wanting to Participate in an Adult Try-a-Tri

Athletes must be in their 14th year to be eligible to race in a try-a tri event.

Athletes must be in their 16th year to participate in a sprint distance event.
